John Bull: London Calling
The attacks in London have all the hallmarks of Islamic terrorism: the focus on unarmed, unprotected civilians, the cowardly strike-from-behind methods, the intent to cause maximum deaths and maximum fear.
For years now--decades really--John Bull has been on life support. An extremely powerful elite have been slowly Europeanizing the U.K., exchanging European values for British ones as surely as they have been exchanging the Common Law for the Civil Law disguised as human rights.
Which means there is only one question now: Will John Bull stand up, like the citizens of New York and the Americans did? Or will his new incarnation rush into the streets pleading for peace and blaming their government, as the citizens of Madrid and the Spanish did?
Is there still a Britain?
We're about to find out.
